Military Region 9 Command inspects preparations for military handover ceremony in Vinh Long

(VLO) On February 12, a working delegation of the Military Region 9 Command led by Major General Huynh Van Ngon - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 9 inspected and grasped the situation of preparations for the 2025 military handover ceremony in Binh Tan district, Binh Minh town and Vinh Long city.

According to a report from the Provincial Military Service Council, in 2025, the province was assigned the target of selecting and calling 1,297 citizens, including 951 citizens performing military service and 346 citizens performing service to join the People's Public Security.

The province has carried out the steps of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in accordance with regulations and instructions from superiors. The work of mobilizing social support to support selected citizens and their families has reached over 5.9 billion VND. Up to this point, all preparations for the military handover ceremony in 8 districts, towns and cities in the province have basically been completed.

After listening to the report and checking the actual situation, Major General Huynh Van Ngon acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the province in general and localities in particular in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army as well as the preparation for the handover ceremony in 2025.

At the same time, the military service councils at all levels in the province are required to continue to grasp the ideological situation of young people and their families during the entire period of military service; better implement the military rear policy; closely coordinate with the military receiving units to do a good job of propaganda and education to help young people fully understand their responsibilities and obligations to the Fatherland so that they can enthusiastically set out to carry out their duties.
