" Currently, there is still light rain and wind on Mau Son peak. Tonight and tomorrow, the ice may thicken and there is a possibility of snow ," Mr. Son added.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the North is experiencing the coldest spell since the beginning of winter with the lowest temperature below 0 degrees Celsius. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a warning of severe cold in the North and Central regions and a weather forecast for the next 10 days, from today, January 22 to January 31.

The widespread cold spell in the North and Thanh Hoa is forecast to last until around January 25; in Nghe An and Ha Tinh it is likely to last until January 24.
