In 2023, the leadership and employees of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board overcame difficulties, completed tasks, and well managed two national key economic zones (Vung Ang Economic Zone, Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone) and industrial parks in the province.
During the year, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board carried out the tasks of establishing and adjusting plans, providing orientation for the implementation of construction and development of economic zones and industrial parks; advising and proposing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles related to economic zones and industrial parks that require direction from the Government and the Prime Minister.

The Provincial Economic Zone Management Board has also accompanied investors to the maximum extent, focusing on coordinating with relevant units to remove difficulties and obstacles to attract investment and implement projects on schedule, and effectively operate production and business activities. In addition, it has reviewed all planning, construction, land, environment, and progress of investor projects and built a roadmap, organized work to handle each specific project.
In 2023, the board issued investment policy decisions and investment registration certificates for 3 domestic projects with a total investment of VND 91.6 billion; 2 foreign-invested projects with a total investment of USD 69.7 million. In addition, the board also focused on administrative reform, simplifying procedures; promulgating and fully implementing administrative reform contents.
Regarding Party building, the committee has promoted the organization of activities and launched emulation movements to implement resolutions associated with the implementation of socio-economic plans. The tasks of Party development, political and ideological education, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, and organizing cadres... have had positive changes in both breadth and depth. Currently, the Party Committee of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board has 5 Party cells with 65 Party members.

Discussing at the conference, delegates focused on evaluating the results achieved and clarifying the remaining limitations and difficulties. At the same time, they proposed solutions to implement the tasks in 2024.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board focus on planning work, implementing related contents in the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, focusing on developing a project to expand Vung Ang Economic Zone; adjusting the general planning of Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone to 2045 and other plans to meet the requirements of attracting investment and developing socio-economic development.
Strengthen investment promotion activities. Coordinate well with departments and branches to carry out tasks to remove difficulties for projects, continue to accelerate compensation and site clearance for investment projects that have been granted in economic zones, industrial parks, especially key projects.
Contact and work with the Government Office and ministries to promptly resolve problems at Phu Vinh Industrial Park and Hoanh Son Industrial Park; speed up the appraisal of Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park. Work with Formosa on increasing factory capacity and investing in specialized industrial parks. Improve the quality of project appraisal; advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and handle issues within its authority.
Strengthen inspection, supervision and urging of implementation progress; promptly handle or propose competent authorities to strictly handle projects that violate progress and other violations according to regulations, and carry out procedures to terminate projects when conditions are met. Coordinate with relevant units to thoroughly handle the transfer of public investment projects according to regulations.
Actively perform all the State management functions of the Economic Zone Management Board, without shirking or avoiding. The unit's leadership team enhances the sense of responsibility in directing and handling outstanding issues. Improve the professional capacity of cadres and civil servants to meet the requirements of the task.
At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board awarded emulation titles to collectives and individuals who excellently completed their tasks in 2023.
