Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan was proposed for disciplinary action.

The Central Inspection Commission has proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline former Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan and a number of other officials.

On the afternoon of March 18, the Central Inspection Commission issued a notice at its 38th session stating that Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Duy Thanh, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dang Van Minh, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Cao Khoa, former Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Ha Hoang Viet Phuong, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Quang Ngai Province; had degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

The four above-mentioned individuals were also determined to have seriously violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties and tasks; in preventing and combating corruption and negativity, violating regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; negativity, and accepting bribes.

These violations have caused very serious consequences, public outrage, and have negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and local government, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered. Therefore, the Central Inspection Committee requests that competent authorities consider and discipline Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan and Messrs. Le Duy Thanh, Dang Van Minh, Cao Khoa, and Ha Hoang Viet Phuong. The Central Inspection Agency will continue to inspect, review, and handle relevant Party organizations and Party members.

10 days ago, Ms. Lan, Mr. Thanh, Minh, and Khoa were prosecuted and detained by the Ministry of Public Security to investigate the crime of Receiving bribes in the case that occurred at Phuc Son Group. Mr. Ha Hoang Viet Phuong was investigated for violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.

The case that occurred at Phuc Son Group and related localities has been investigated by the Ministry of Public Security since February 26. Currently, 15 people have been arrested, including the Secretary and Chairman of Vinh Phuc, the Chairman and former Chairman of Quang Ngai and many officials in this province. In particular, Mr. Dang Trung Hoanh, Chief of Office of Thang Mit District Party Committee, Vinh Long Province, is being investigated for the crime of "Taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers for personal gain."
