According to The Information, Apple has adjusted its plans to develop the second generation of Vision Pro virtual reality glasses, or Vision Pro 2.
Apple is planning to split its Vision glasses into two versions, Pro and standard. The company is said to have de-prioritized the development of Vision Pro 2, with fewer employees assigned to the project.

Also according to The Information , Apple has spoken to its component suppliers that the company has decided not to continue developing the Vision Pro 2 version and will instead focus on a cheaper MR (mixed reality) headset, believed to be codenamed N109.
Apple’s goal is to launch a low-cost Vision headset that will cost the same as the current top-end iPhone, which is around $1,600. While that’s significantly less than the Vision Pro, it’s still more expensive than the Meta Quest 3, which starts at $649 for the top-end version.
However, the company seems to be struggling to find a way to reduce the price of the model without sacrificing too many features, which has pushed the expected launch date back to late 2025.
Previously, sources from MacRumors also said that the cheap Vision glasses will still use the same high-end screen as the Pro version. The company will cut other components such as cameras, smaller speakers or simpler straps.
