With many years of growing and experience in the profession, Mr. Lam said that orchids are known as the queen of flowers because of their majestic and regal beauty. "Recently, due to the large number of orchids, I have been propagating and selling them on social networking platforms to earn extra income," said Mr. Lam, adding that he sells each orchid pot for 500,000 - 1,200,000 VND/pot.
Mr. Lam and orchid players said that the standard for having a beautiful orchid is that the player must take good care of the roots because they are like the soul of the plant. Only healthy roots can absorb nutrients to nourish the plant and produce many, sturdy flower buds.
"When talking about orchids, hobbyists also have to talk about the rarity of the plant. In a million plants, only one has beautiful, unique, and hard-to-find flowers. Therefore, the price will be very high and worth hunting for," added Mr. Lam.

"After work, I take care of orchids. During Tet, I choose pots with fragrant, beautiful flowers to display in the house. This flower does not require a large area, so even small families can enjoy it," said Mr. Vu.
With different colors, the meaning of each type of orchid is also different, such as: White orchids symbolize respect and humility.
Purple orchids represent royalty, pink orchids mean charm, grace, yellow phalaenopsis orchids symbolize a good start, success...
Mr. Lam and many of his colleagues affirm that, nowadays, orchids are increasingly being chosen and cared for by hobbyists during Tet, because they symbolize reunion and prosperity in the first days of the year.
