Big hotels in Sa Pa have been fully booked for the National Day holidays. The tourism promotion policies have significantly contributed to Sa Pa’s tourism growth and Lao Cai Province’s tourism recovery.

Unique and diversified tourism stimulation
This year during the four-day National Day holidays, the Sa Pa tourism market is much more vibrant than previous years. Most of big hotels such as Pao’s Sapa Leisure Hotel, Topas Ecolodge, Hotel de la Coupole and homestays have an extremely high occupancy rate with bookings made early.

Favorable weather conditions and the ripe rice season of terraced fields have attracted families to choose Sa Pa as a relaxing destination before their children start a new school year.
A series of events celebrating the 20th anniversary of Sa Pa town has been held during the National Day holidays, including the flag raising ceremony on September 2 and the Vu Lan Festival held by Sun World on the top of Fansipan mountain from August 28 to August 30). More than 300 Buddhists from Quang Ninh province and thousands of tourists have joined the festival at the spiritual cultural complex on the top of Fansipan mountain.

Sa Pa will host many other events such as the Vietnam Mountain Marathon – VMM Sa Pa 2023 from September 22 to September 24 and the International Food Festival.
The People’s Committee of Sa Pa town and Topas Explorer Group will organize a running race with several new changes.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the tournament. Compared to previous years, organizers will change the running distance in some competitions and diversify the running routes to intensify challenges for athletes.
About 4,500 professional and amateur athletes have so far registered. 20% of them are foreigners.
According to the organizing committee, this year’s marathon is honored to welcome the participation of Nicolai Prytz, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam.

Among Lao Cai’s famous tourist attractions, Sa Pa town is always the most attractive because it is home to Fansipan – the highest mountain in Indochina and the Sun Fansipan Legend cable car that takes visitors to the mountain peak.
On the route from Sa Pa town center to the cable car area and from the cable car station to Fansipan peak, tourists can enjoy countless wild mountain, forests, vast flower gardens with bright colors. The beauty and terraced fields in Muong Hoa village are surprisingly beautiful.
Located in the northwestern mountainous region, like many other mountainous provinces, Lao Cai shines beautifully in September and October when the autumn comes and the terraced fields turn the shiny golden color of ripe rice.
Tourists are most loved by Sa Pa town, Y Ty commune of Bat Xat district and Bac Ha district center. The clear blue sky with white clouds along with layers of mountains create a beautiful natural scenery that touch the hearts of many tourists.

Improving service quality
Visitors should have their own list of famous hotels, resorts and homestays in Sa Pa to enjoy the town to the best.
Topas Ecolodge located in a higher position than other hotels in Sa Pa should not be missed. It has an infinity pool overlooking the vast natural mountains and forests.
Also in the list are Hotel de la Coupole – a luxury hotel located right in the center of Sa Pa town and Pao’s Sapa Leisure Hotel with serving capacity of 4,000 visitors at a time.

From now until December 31, 2023 (except for holidays), Sun World Fansipan Legend applies a 50% discount on ticket prices (only 400,000 VND/person) for domestic students traveling in a group of 10 or more and studying at the same school. Children with height under 1m get free tickets.
