Ca Mau people are gentle and simple
Coming to Ca Mau, it seems that everyone feels that the people here live peacefully, honestly, they cherish each other for their love and loyalty. Perhaps, due to the harsh elements of nature, it has molded and formed the people of Ca Mau to be patient, hard-working, and live in harmony with each other.
It must be said that the people here are hard-working and diligent, not afraid of hardship in production. Sincere and natural feelings seem to have formed in the nature of the people of Ca Mau from the past until now.
It is no coincidence that musician Thanh Son (from Soc Trang) wholeheartedly praised the people of Ca Mau through the emotional lyrics “The people of Ca Mau are extremely lovely” (New Ao Ca Mau). The lovely and affectionate nature of the people of Ca Mau is now like a brand that contributes to affirming that Ca Mau is not only a rustic and simple land but also very friendly and hospitable.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ca Mau province affirmed that cultural development is one of the key issues and outstanding contents in the Documents of the 13th National Party Congress. On that basis, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested timely rectification of the exploitation of beliefs and religions, the practice of superstition, causing insecurity and disorder; fighting to eliminate harmful cultural products, negative and opportunistic behaviors, violations of the law, the dissemination of wrong thoughts, and pragmatic lifestyles...
“Focus on building the Party and the political system in terms of culture and ethics; resolutely fight against corruption and negativity; build culture in leadership and management; promote the exemplary role and ethical standards of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees, to create a spreading effect throughout society,” the Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee emphasized.
Experts say that Ca Mau has great cultural potential, but in reality, its full value has not been fully exploited. Therefore, there needs to be a new approach, a new way to introduce cultural identity in the digital age.

Meeting the requirements of sustainable development
The Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee issued Action Program No. 07-CTr/TU, specifying and implementing Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW. Accordingly, the tasks and solutions for building culture associated with building the government and building the economy are implemented quite synchronously and closely, promoting the combined strength to build an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity; building people towards the values of "truth - goodness - beauty", humanity, and affection, contributing to enriching the material and spiritual life of the people in the province.
After 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on building Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development; the economic, cultural and social situation of Ca Mau province continues to develop. Many patriotic emulation movements have brought about quite comprehensive results, contributing to the success of the National Target Programs on building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and sustainable poverty reduction.
Ca Mau province has done a good job of incorporating regulations on building people and cultural families into village and residential area conventions, paying attention to educating family and clan traditions; village and neighborhood relationships... Since then, many typical examples have emerged in patriotic emulation movements on good production and business.

Mr. Tieu Minh Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau shared that since Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW came into effect, the sector has focused on improving the quality of training, fostering, building and promoting the pioneering role of the cultural workforce, developing mass cultural movements at the grassroots level. In addition, the province has made efforts to diversify cultural products, tourism products, and exploit the potential and advantages of the locality such as sea, islands, forests, festivals, and community activities.
In particular, investment resources for cultural activities have increased year by year, contributing to the movement of building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and sustainable poverty reduction. Along with improving the quality and effectiveness of cultural activities, localities and units have done a good job of propaganda, refuting false arguments, promptly preventing and repelling the infiltration and negative impacts of toxic cultural products.

From the Party's Resolutions, Ca Mau province has transformed into changes in awareness, action and expression through practical results. The work of building and developing culture and people of Ca Mau has always been focused on improving. The task of building a healthy cultural environment in all areas of social life has been regularly implemented. The leadership capacity of Party committees at all levels and the effectiveness of state management in the fields of culture and arts have been improved.
In particular, the viewpoint that “culture must be placed on par with economics, politics, and society” is more thoroughly understood and perceived. People truly become cultural subjects, actively participating in implementing a civilized lifestyle and a healthy cultural environment.
From his perspective, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Linh, Vice President of the Central Theoretical Council, Head of the Central Theoretical Council's working delegation, shared that Ca Mau's culture, society and people are valuable and rich resources and are fully capable of becoming a direct and effective source of contribution to the local development.
“Ca Mau needs to look at the existing problems correctly, promptly resolve the issues to build and develop culture, society, and people in an integrated but sustainable and rich-in-identity direction, forming good standards and value systems. From there, bring real, substantial and comprehensive enjoyment to people's lives,” Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Linh suggested.
