Since she graced the 2018 Oscars red carpet in a tight yellow gown, Eiza González has been at the top of Hollywood's list of body-conscious actresses. The 30-year-old Fast and Furious star credits her fitness, healthy eating, and skin-care routine to keeping her body fit for action movies.
Eiza González is particularly fond of Pilates, yoga, and weightlifting, which she considers a regular fitness routine. The actress tries to incorporate structured workouts and spontaneous physical activities like surfing and hiking into her daily schedule.
"I like to move every day, you don't necessarily have to 'exercise' but keep moving. Not too hard, just enough to keep the blood circulating and not stagnant," she said.
The actress always makes sure she drinks enough water every day. She says water has become an essential part of her life. Busy schedules and long flights sometimes dehydrate the body. Changes in weather in different countries have a negative impact on health. Therefore, Eiza González always makes sure her body is hydrated every day.
With a constant travel schedule and long days on set, the actress frankly admitted that working out is not easy. She has to wake up two hours earlier than scheduled every morning, regularly and for a long time in a disciplined manner. The beauty believes that discipline is the key to having a good exercise and eating regimen leading to a healthy body.
"I am a health lover, I want to make up for my body. Daily beauty is like a way to say thank you to myself. Exercising, letting blood circulate to my feet is a way to say thank you to my feet for letting me walk," she shared.

To keep her skin looking great in her 30s, Eiza González always applies sunscreen with the right SPF and cleanses her skin twice.
"I wake up, wash my face twice, and moisturize my skin. I have to do that because I'm exposed to too much light, too much cosmetics. With all that, if you don't take good care of it, it can be very damaging to your skin," Eiza González shared in a 2019 interview with BAZAAR Australia.
Protecting her skin from the sun is also extremely important, according to the actress. She "never leaves the house without sunscreen." Although her job requires a healthy tan, Eiza González never tans or sunbathes.
In addition to exercising and protecting her skin, the actress also follows a healthy diet to stay healthy from the inside. She has been following a vegetarian, plant-based diet for the past few years. Eiza González also tries to kick her "chocolate addiction" and reduce sugar in her daily menu.
"I'm trying to live a more organic and responsible life, especially in my eating habits. I don't eat sugar, and I've reduced my daily coffee intake. This is a drink I love but it's not good for the lymphatic system," she shared.
Eiza González always drinks hot or room temperature water, as it is good for her adrenal glands. She also manages anxiety and stress with camu camu, a phytochemical-rich Peruvian berry that is often taken in powder form.
After completing her busy schedule, the actress spends time reading books and playing with her pets. She tries to read at least one book every three to four days. Many previous studies have shown that reading books and raising pets have a positive impact on mental health.
