Viglacera officially started installing PVD coating equipment system - surface protection technology - at Viglacera Faucet Company - a unit under Viglacera Corporation - JSC. Engineers from Protec Surface Technologies of Italy directly installed the products at the Factory.

The installation is expected to take 7 to 10 days, after which Protec Surface Technologies’ team of experts will continue the training and technology transfer program. The first product production time will start from the end of November 2024.

PVD coating technology takes place in a vacuum environment, does not use toxic chemicals, providing a durable and environmentally friendly coating.

The first PVD-coated faucet products in Vietnam are expected to be launched from December 2024. With the strategy of "popularizing high-end products to the domestic market and gradually replacing imported goods", these PVD-coated products will have a selling price suitable for the majority of Vietnamese consumers.

PVD coated faucets have been Viglacera's vision for many years. In the world, especially in European countries, PVD coating technology is inevitable due to its advantages in aesthetics, color fastness and especially environmental protection and consumer health safety.

In Vietnam, PVD coated shower products are not yet known by many people, or are confused with electrostatically plated or dipped galvanized products. This is a pioneering step but no less risky.

When the market did not yet know about this technology, Viglacera determined to "make the market" by launching the first "made in Vietnam" PVD-coated showerhead products at the most suitable price, directly competing with imported goods.

PVD coating technology on shower faucets offers many outstanding advantages compared to traditional technologies such as Nickel Chrome plating and electrostatic coating technology currently available on the market. PVD coating is three times harder, effectively resists abrasion and scratches, while maintaining a bright, long-lasting color and good heat resistance up to 300°C. Compared to electrostatic coating, PVD has superior hardness (1000-3000 HV compared to 100-800 HV), high corrosion resistance (more than 24 hours without corrosion compared to less than 6 hours), and better adhesion, helping to increase the aesthetic value of the product.

In particular, Viglacera PVD coated shower heads are perfectly synchronized with the ecosystem of other high-end products such as sintered stone basins, mirrors, stone tables, and glass shower walls, bringing harmony and high aesthetics to the projects.
