Vietnam participates in Codeavour 6.0 International Competition in Qatar

NDO - On March 29 and 30, the National Finals in Vietnam - Codeavour 6.0 Competition was held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

According to the Organizing Committee, although this is the first year of implementation in Vietnam, the competition has attracted more than 100 teams from schools across the country.

Codeavour playground is for students who are passionate about science and technology and want to try their creativity and apply technology to solve practical problems.

Participating in the competition, students create technological products that apply artificial intelligence, programming and robotics, designed to solve real-world problems. The teams will then present their projects to a panel of judges, including experts from the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association and universities.

Codeavour 6.0 International Competition is a prestigious international innovation competition for students, organized by STEMpedia Education Organization (USA), IHub @ IISc AI & Robotics Technology Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology of India, Worlddidac International Education Association.

The national round in Vietnam is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association (HCA), KDI Education Joint Stock Company (KDI Education), with the support of Victoria School Nam Sai Gon and Thanh Xuan Secondary School.

The national round is divided into two organizing regions: the southern region is held in Ho Chi Minh City and the northern region is held in Hanoi.

After the exciting and dramatic competition rounds, the Organizing Committee announced the results of the winning teams. In the southern region, the first prize went to the following teams: Tran Hung Dao Primary School with the Driver Safety At project; Victoria School - Saigon South with the H2Woah project; Nguyen Huu Tien High School with the SLAT Programme project.

Second Prize went to teams from the following schools: Sao Viet Primary, Secondary and High School with the project Snapfood - Health assistant; Nguyen Du Secondary School with the project Improving the lives of visually impaired people with artificial eyes, IRIS school Thai Nguyen with the project Smart traffic system.

Third Prize went to teams from the following schools: Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School with the Smart Flood-Resistant House project; Luong Dinh Cua Secondary School with the CareXpress project, and Thu Duc High School with the Pose mind project.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang, Deputy Director of KDI Education Product Operations, awarded prizes to the teams that won first prize in the northern region.

In the northern region, the first prize went to teams from the following schools: Trang An Primary School with the Sign Language Translation Software project, and Trung Vuong Secondary School with the Air Pollution Measurement and Warning System project.

Second Prize went to teams from the following schools: Kim Dong Primary School with the GreenEcho AI Home project - Green AI home with voice control and garbage classification, IRIS Inter-level School with the Smart home fire alarm system project.

Third Prize went to teams from: Sai Dong Urban Primary School with the project Smart waste sorting and propaganda machine using AI technology, Thanh Xuan Secondary School with the project Physical education software using AI technology.

The teams that win First, Second and Third prizes in each group will represent Vietnam to participate in the International Final Round taking place in Qatar in May 2025.
