On April 15, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang met with Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz.
Sharing good impressions during his visit to Vietnam in September 2022, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz affirmed that Cuba always attaches importance to and wishes to further deepen the special traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation with Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said that senior leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State always pay close attention to the situation and share with Cuba the successes as well as the difficulties and challenges on the path of protecting and building the country.
Vietnam will continue to accompany and support Cuba within its capacity; always stand in solidarity and support Cuba, oppose and call for an end to the policy of siege and embargo against Cuba.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the results of the 41st meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of the two countries as well as the directions and measures agreed upon by both sides to promote comprehensive, substantive and effective cooperation.
The two sides have effectively promoted the established cooperation mechanism; made efforts to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation; and effectively implemented agricultural cooperation projects, thereby contributing to ensuring food security for Cuba.
The Cuban Prime Minister thanked Vietnam for its support through stable commercial rice supply and the development of food production in Cuba. He also appreciated Vietnam's role as the largest investor in the Asia-Pacific region in Cuba and the second largest investor in the Mariel Special Development Zone.
Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz hopes that Vietnam will continue to encourage businesses to increase investment and business in Cuba.
The Cuban government pledges to find mechanisms and solutions to facilitate the operations of Vietnamese businesses, bringing benefits to businesses and people of both countries.

At the meeting with Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang congratulated the two countries on successfully organizing many important events in bilateral relations, contributing to further deepening understanding, attachment, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed Vietnam's consistent stance of always being united and supporting Cuba, opposing and calling for an end to the policy of siege and embargo against Cuba in all forms.

The Cuban Foreign Minister highly appreciated the significance and importance of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang's visit to the Vietnam-Cuba brotherly relationship, especially in the context of complicated developments in the world, requiring Vietnam and Cuba to strengthen solidarity and cooperation.
The two sides discussed the situation in each country, reviewed and evaluated areas of cooperation, and exchanged directions and measures to further deepen and comprehensively develop Vietnam-Cuba relations.
The two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate, prepare for high-level visits and contacts, effectively promote existing dialogue and cooperation mechanisms; increase delegation exchanges between ministries, sectors, localities and business communities of the two countries. Previously, from April 12-15, the 41st meeting of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee was held in the capital city of Havana with the participation of representatives of ministries and sectors of the two countries to discuss and agree on important cooperation contents in economics, trade and investment, agriculture, finance, construction, science - technology, education - training, health - pharmaceuticals, construction, culture - sports and tourism between the two countries.
