According to the Phu Binh District Regional Planning to 2040, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee sets the goal of building this locality into one of the modern industrial economic centers and meeting the criteria of a town before 2030. To implement this orientation, the district Party Committee and government have been synchronously implementing solutions to promote potential and take advantage of development opportunities.

Potential and opportunities
Phu Binh is located in the southern key economic zone of the province, more than 20km from the center of Thai Nguyen city. The east and south of the district borders Bac Giang province, the west borders Pho Yen city, Song Cong city, the north borders Dong Hy district.
The district has about 68km of provincial roads, with National Highway 37 running through it for over 17km, connecting the locality with Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces. The geographical location and convenient transportation network help the district expand trade with key economic zones inside and outside the province.
With a plain terrain mixed with gentle hills, and abundant irrigation water for production, the district also has favorable conditions for the development of diverse crops and hill garden economy. Currently, Phu Binh is a locality with diverse agricultural products, the largest area of crops and the largest herd of livestock and poultry in the province. Thanks to this strength, the district has the potential to develop the agricultural, forestry, fishery processing industry and high-tech agriculture.
In addition, Phu Binh also has the advantage of abundant labor resources. Currently, the whole district has over 99,000 people of working age (accounting for about 60% of the population), of which the proportion of trained workers accounts for 77.5%. This is a favorable factor for the district to attract investment and promote economic development in many fields.

Based on that potential and advantage, in recent times, Phu Binh district has received attention from the province in planning 5 industrial parks and 8 industrial clusters along key traffic routes. Diem Thuy Industrial Park and Kha Son Industrial Cluster have been put into operation, creating jobs for more than 25,000 workers. The remaining industrial parks and clusters are in the process of detailed planning and selecting investors.
In addition, in the district, there are also key projects and works with regional connectivity of the province that have been and are being implemented, such as: Ring Road V (section from Phu Binh district connecting to Bac Giang province); connecting route DT.261 and DT.266... The projects aim to increase connectivity between the locality and industrial parks and clusters inside and outside the province, creating conditions for investors to shorten travel time and investment costs, increasing competitiveness for this land with great potential.
The province's investment attention is opening up great opportunities for Phu Binh to develop into a new growth pole of Thai Nguyen in the coming time.

Grasp to develop
To turn potential and opportunities into development motivation, Phu Binh district has implemented synchronous and key solutions to promote socio-economic development, focusing on building synchronous infrastructure. The district People's Committee has integrated and reasonably used capital sources to upgrade roads managed by the district and commune.
Implementing the medium-term public investment plan, from 2021 to now, the District People's Committee has allocated over 500 billion VND to implement 50 traffic works and projects. From the capital source of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, over 65,000 tons of cement and about 153 billion VND have been allocated to upgrade and expand traffic.
In addition, the District People's Committee also organized the implementation of detailed planning, site clearance and attracting investors to implement residential and urban area projects. Up to now, the whole district has planned 81 residential and urban area projects with an area of 1,959.73 hectares; of which 7 projects have been basically completed. Residential and urban area projects that have been implemented and put into use will create a strong change in infrastructure, promoting urbanization in a synchronous and modern direction.
Improving the investment environment is also a solution that local authorities and Party committees focus on implementing. The District People's Committee has directed specialized departments to improve the effectiveness of administrative reform associated with digital transformation; apply information technology in public service activities; improve the effectiveness of public services in handling work for people and businesses. In 2024, the rate of online public service records will reach 96.9%; records resolved before the deadline and on time will reach 99.4%.

Accompanying businesses and investors, every year, the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee regularly organize dialogues to grasp and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles of businesses in developing production and implementing works and projects in the area. Particularly in 2024, the local Party Committee and authorities will organize 2 dialogues with businesses inside and outside the district.
With the efforts and initiative of the local Party Committee and government, Phu Binh district is constantly changing and developing. Currently, the economic structure of the district has shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture. Industrial production and trade and services are increasingly developing.
In 2024, the industrial production value will reach VND 25,629.4 billion, an increase of over VND 1.3 trillion compared to 2023. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue will reach VND 3,512.1 billion, an increase of over VND 560 million compared to 2023.
In the coming time, the District People's Committee will prioritize investment resources for urban infrastructure development, striving to build Phu Binh district to basically meet the standards of a town by 2025 and become a town before 2030. Along with that, the district will also implement well the budget collection work to have resources to invest in socio-economic development. Administrative reform work associated with digital transformation will also be promoted to improve the investment environment.
