On April 16, speaking at the conference to launch the "Month of Action for Food Safety" and summarize food safety work, Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong - Director of the Can Tho City Department of Health - directed food safety management units to proactively and resolutely plan for regular and unscheduled sampling by units responsible for food safety work.
Mr. Cuong said that the theme of the Food Safety Action Month in 2024 is "Continuing to ensure food security and safety in the new situation" to effectively manage food safety work and prevent large-scale poisoning.

A central district like Ninh Kieu may have many food processing and street food businesses, but there are not many famous, crowded businesses.
Food safety managers need to focus on monitoring these points, and management must have smart management software instead of manually saving records and registering as it is now, Mr. Cuong said.
At the conference, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Can Tho City also recommended that the city should allocate more funds to collect samples to monitor the source of agricultural, forestry and fishery food ingredients.
This fund is assigned to the district economic or agricultural department to coordinate with the health sector to implement according to Circular 17.
