Attending the "Spring Colors in All Regions of the Country" Festival in the Year of the Snake 2025, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, on the morning of February 15, President Luong Cuong affirmed that the traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups is a priceless asset, an extremely valuable resource for us to build a powerful Vietnam.
Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Party Central Committee members: Le Thanh Long, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; leaders of central and local departments, ministries, and branches.
Speaking at the festival and wishing the Vietnamese ethnic community a Happy New Year, the President expressed his joy at attending the festival "Spring Colors in All Regions of the Country" Spring At Ty 2025 - an annual event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, which contributes to converging and uniting ethnic groups, preserving, promoting and spreading the traditional and unique cultural values of ethnic groups in the great family of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the President respectfully sends to the delegates, distinguished guests, and all compatriots, comrades, officers and soldiers of the armed forces greetings, warm regards and best wishes for the New Year.
The President affirmed that Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country, each ethnic group has its own unique, rich and distinctive cultural values, creating a cultural picture that is both diverse and highly unified, reflecting the creativity and mettle of the Vietnamese people throughout historical periods.
One of the most important values of the traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups is the spirit of great solidarity, mutual love and affection, creating endogenous strength, which is the foundation to help the Vietnamese people overcome all difficulties and challenges throughout the history of building and defending the country, fighting for national liberation in the past, as well as in the cause of building, developing the country and firmly protecting the Vietnamese Fatherland today.
The President emphasized that over the years, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively coordinated closely with central and local departments, ministries and branches to organize many cultural events of profound political significance at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, which converge at the "Common House" with traditional cultural and artistic activities, representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, national intangible cultural heritages; unique and colorful rituals and festivals vividly formed in the flow of ethnic cultures, highlighting the diverse beauty of Vietnamese culture, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to visit, experience culture, and community tourism, thereby continuing to affirm and spread the vitality of traditional cultural values of the nation in development, exchange, integration and international cooperation.
The President emphasized that the “Spring Colors Across the Country” Festival is not only a spring celebration, but also a cultural and political event of great significance; an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to review, preserve and deepen national cultural values, thereby further strengthening solidarity, enhancing understanding and accompanying each other in the cause of national construction and development.
The event truly became a source of encouragement and motivation, creating a great combined strength for our country to reach new successes, wealth and prosperity.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the President commended and highly appreciated the active efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, central and local ministries and branches, and ethnic communities who have had many initiatives to maintain and develop activities at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village in the heart of Hanoi so that people and tourists can admire the unique cultural beauty of each ethnic group, in the big family of the beloved Vietnamese ethnic community.
The President emphasized that building the great national unity bloc is a strategic and consistent task of special importance for our Party and State, throughout the revolutionary process and in the new period, aiming to bring the country to rapid and sustainable development in the new era - the era of striving for strong, prosperous development of the nation.
The traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups is an invaluable asset, an extremely valuable resource for us to build a strong Vietnam. Thanks to the diversity and richness of culture, together with the spirit of solidarity and mutual love, we have overcome all difficulties and challenges to achieve great achievements in the cause of national development and firmly protect our beloved Vietnam.
On that basis, the President requested that all levels, sectors, and mass organizations from the central to local levels continue to research, promulgate, and effectively implement ethnic policies, ensuring the rights and improving the material and spiritual lives of ethnic people; at the same time, have effective solutions to protect and continue to promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic communities, preserving the unique cultural beauty of each ethnic group, in which it is necessary to pay special attention to honoring and respecting the important contributions of artisans, village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people among ethnic people - those are typical, exemplary, and key people in local movements, and are the "fulcrum for all other fulcrums" of the village.
Localities need to continue to focus on leading and directing the tight and effective organization of the implementation of national target programs to support socio-economic development, especially rural infrastructure, improve the quality of life for people, have specific and practical solutions and jobs to increase income, improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities; at the same time, care for education, culture, health care, social welfare, pay more attention to the issue of training cadres, employment for young people, proactively contribute to continuing to improve policies for ethnic minorities, create more favorable conditions for ethnic minorities to participate more deeply and effectively in the overall development process of the country.
In the joyful atmosphere of the first day of spring, the President requested and wished that all compatriots, comrades, cadres and soldiers of the armed forces should devote all their strength and enthusiasm, through concrete and practical actions, to contributing to the common cause of the country, creating cohesion, fostering the great national unity bloc, contributing to cultivating Vietnamese culture, Vietnamese strength, Vietnamese values - a strong internal resource for national development.
With firm belief in the renovation process and the leadership of the Party, together with the united efforts and high determination of the entire Party, people and army, we will certainly successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, bringing our country confidently into a new era - an era of strong development and prosperity.
On this occasion, the President presented gifts to representatives of ethnic groups attending the "Spring Colors Across the Country" Festival. Representatives of ethnic groups also brought unique cultural products of their own ethnic groups to respectfully present to the President.
Next, the President attended the opening ceremony of the Cham tower and offered incense at the Cham tower temple in Ninh Thuan province, at the place of worship of Linga - King Poklong Garai to pray for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather and favorable weather.
The President also attended the Khai Ha Festival of the Muong ethnic group in Hoa Binh - a unique cultural feature that both demonstrates respect for nature and reflects the profound spiritual values of the community, helping to strengthen solidarity and sustainable development of society.
The Khai Ha Festival is an occasion for the Muong people to thank the gods and ancestors and pray for prosperity for the community in the new year; this is also a festival associated with agriculture, expressing gratitude to nature.
Here, the President performed the ritual of beating the drum to start the season; opening the first plowing area, sprinkling the first drop of water on the first plowing line to pray for a favorable season, sunshine, good crops, good health for our people, happiness for everyone, peace and prosperity for the country; together with the delegates planted souvenir trees, shared the joy of the "Spring Festival of Muong villages" with many unique cultural features...
