VAR "COVERAGE" NEARLY MAXIMUM
In the new season, there may be less controversy about offside situations, penalties, red cards, valid or invalid goals; objectivity, accuracy and fairness will be higher. Because VAR technology will cover almost all stadiums, instead of only 2 or 3 matches like the past two seasons. In the first round on September 14 and 15, there will be 6 matches applying VAR (except Ha Tinh stadium).
The second notable new feature is that for the first time, the head coaches of 14 teams must answer the press conference before the match, just like in European tournaments. Except in cases of force majeure where the head coach cannot answer, the Organizing Committee will replace him with an assistant, but only a few times.

Another special thing in the new season is that each team is allowed to register 2 overseas Vietnamese players. The three teams participating in the Asian and regional tournaments, including Nam Dinh Club, Hanoi Police (CAHN) and Thanh Hoa, are allowed to register 5 foreign players and use 3, 2 more than the other teams (registering and using 3 foreign players).
In addition, the competition schedule this season will also be built more scientifically, the match density is ensured to be reasonable, helping the teams have time to recover their physical strength. The tournament will only be paused during FIFA Days or the Vietnam team competes in the AFF Cup, not interrupted to make room for youth playgrounds like previous seasons.
HOT CHAMPIONSHIP RACE AND REMOVAL
More than half of the teams participating in V-League 2024 - 2025 have replaced and renewed nearly 1/3 of their squad (about 8 - 10 players), bringing in many quality players. CAHN Club added Dinh Bac, Dinh Trong, Van Thiet, Jason Quang Vinh, Leonardo, Alan, Rosa... Becamex Binh Duong Club recruited Tung Quoc, Ho Tan Tai, Nghiem Xuan Tu, Ha Duc Chinh, Wellington (former teammates of famous player Neymar in the Olympic and Brazilian national team), Thanh Nhan, Vu Tuyen Quang... Some teams promoted many young players to the first team such as SLNA, HAGL (especially with 16-year-old player Tran Gia Bao). Even the newly promoted team Da Nang also has a deep, diverse squad with many quality foreign players. The reigning champion Nam Dinh not only added foreign players like Mpande but also domestic players like Quang Thinh. Interestingly, last season's top scorer with 31 goals - Rafaelson (Brazil) was registered by the club under the name Nguyen Xuan Son. He has completed the procedures for Vietnamese citizenship and is waiting for the official response from the authorities.

There were also many changes in the coaching position. Binh Duong chose former U.20 coach Hoang Anh Tuan, Hanoi decided to use "homegrown" coach Le Duc Tuan instead of using foreign coaches like last season. Coaches who always left a strong impression such as Vu Tien Thanh or Truong Viet Hoang withdrew to become technical directors to help Le Quang Trai and Dao Quang Hung register for the head coach positions at HAGL and Da Nang. The rest were all familiar "generals", the most difficult of which were Vu Hong Viet, Chu Dinh Nghiem, Nguyen Duc Thang, Phung Thanh Phuong... facing two foreign coaches with great personalities, Mano Polking (CAHN) and Popov (Thanh Hoa).
This situation promises that the competition at both ends of the V-League will be very hot. The championship group, in addition to ambitious teams such as Nam Dinh, Hanoi, CAHN or Thanh Hoa, will certainly include Binh Duong and it is not excluded that the Ho Chi Minh City team (who caused a big surprise when they finished in the top 4 last season) will also be included. The group competing to maintain their position with names such as SLNA, Quang Nam or Ha Tinh, even HAGL is still "named". The group that can cause a shock will include Hai Phong, The Cong Viettel, Da Nang. Only Quy Nhon Binh Dinh excelled in winning the runner-up position last season, but this time the force suffered heavy losses when 2/3 of the main squad left the team, so it is very difficult to bounce back.
Many fiery opening matches
In the opening 7 matches of V-League 2024 - 2025, more than half of the matches promise to be very exciting. First is the evenly matched match between Thanh Hoa and Binh Duong (6 p.m. on September 14). Both teams will play an open game because they have quality strikers, such as Thanh Hoa with Rimario or the away team with new foreign players who are worth waiting for, not to mention striker Tien Linh (who just scored against Thailand a few days ago).
Another exciting match is Hai Phong vs CAHN at Lach Tray Stadium (7:15 p.m. September 15). In the 2023-2024 season, the Hai Phong team defeated their opponents with a score of 3-1 and coach Chu Dinh Nghiem is confident that he will repeat this feat. The match between Ho Chi Minh City and The Cong Viettel at Thong Nhat Stadium (7:15 p.m. September 15) is also interesting because last season Hoang Duc and his teammates fell 0-2. Having lost to Binh Dinh at home at Hang Day Stadium last season, the home team Hanoi is determined to "take revenge" in the rematch at 7:15 p.m. on September 14.
