Hiep Duc District People's Committee reduced to 9 specialized agencies after reorganization and consolidation

At the meeting, after reviewing the Proposal of the District People's Committee, the inspection report of the Legal Committee of the District People's Council and discussion opinions, 100% of the delegates of the 8th District People's Council unanimously approved the Resolution to establish specialized agencies under the District People's Committee.

According to the resolution, after the establishment, arrangement, consolidation, and restructuring of specialized agencies under the People's Committee, there will be 9 agencies (2 agencies reduced), including: Department of Home Affairs; Agriculture and Environment; Department of Culture, Science and Information; Education and Training; Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas; District Inspectorate; Justice; Finance - Planning; Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of the district.

Specifically, establish the Department of Home Affairs of Hiep Duc district on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hiep Duc district and the Department of Home Affairs of Hiep Duc district.

Establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hiep Duc district on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hiep Duc district; the functions and tasks of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hiep Duc district and the functions and tasks on poverty reduction from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hiep Duc district.

Establish the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Hiep Duc district on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of advising on state management of construction, traffic, industry and trade from the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Hiep Duc district.

Establish the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Hiep Duc district on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of the Department of Culture and Information of Hiep Duc district and the functions and tasks of science and technology from the Department of Economy and Infrastructure of Hiep Duc district.

Along with that, receiving and transferring functions and tasks to the following agencies:

Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Hiep Duc district: Receive the function of advising on state management in the fields of social protection, children and social evil prevention from the district's Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; at the same time transfer the functions and tasks of ethnic affairs to the district's Department of Home Affairs.

Hiep Duc District Department of Education and Training: Receives functions and tasks on vocational education from the current Hiep Duc District Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Specialized agencies under the District People's Committee were established and put into operation from February 19, 2025.

Currently, Hiep Duc District People's Committee has 11 specialized agencies, the total number of assigned civil servants is 89; the current staff is 80 (9 staff are missing), of which 11 are heads and 19 are deputies. Through the arrangement, 2 heads will be reduced and the number of deputies and specialized civil servants will continue to be reduced according to the staff streamlining roadmap in the coming time.
