RT quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that the Priazovye reconnaissance ship repelled an attack by six Ukrainian “suicide” unmanned surface vessels (USVs) in the southeastern Black Sea. At the time of the attack on the morning of June 11 (local time), the Priazovye was on patrol of the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines.
“On June 11, at about 1:30 a.m. Moscow time, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out an attack on the Black Sea Fleet's reconnaissance ship Priazovie, but they failed to achieve their goal,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The attack took place in the sea 300 km southeast of the port city of Sevastopol. According to the regulations, the Russian warships destroyed all Ukrainian USVs, Priazovye suffered no losses after the attack.
“There were no casualties. The ship did not suffer any damage,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. The Priazovye then continued its mission.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, at the time of the attack, a US RQ-4B Global Hawk long-range unmanned reconnaissance aircraft was actively operating in the Black Sea. The Russian side also noted that the RQ-4B had appeared in this sea area during a Ukrainian attack on Russian warships on May 24.
Previously, at the end of May, the Ukrainian navy carried out a USV attack on the Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Churs in the Black Sea.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also released a video showing a black "suicide" USV rushing towards the Ivan Churs ship under fire, but it was quickly hit by automatic cannons on the Russian warship and exploded.
The reconnaissance ships Ivan Churs and Priazovye are both on patrol duty along the Turk Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines. The Russian naval patrols in the Black Sea come shortly after the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline last September.
