The Co Loa Spring Festival of At Ty 2025 took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere as people across the country celebrated the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

On February 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), Dong Anh district (Hanoi) held the opening ceremony of the cultural and sports activities of the Co Loa festival in 2025. Attending were Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong and representatives of leaders of departments, branches and organizations of Hanoi City.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Anh People's Committee Nguyen Thi Tam said that Dong Anh is a land rich in cultural identity, the place was chosen twice as the capital of Vietnam, has become a symbol, a constant of Vietnamese history and culture. Through many ups and downs of history, along with the growth of the capital and the country, the position, stature and appearance of Dong Anh are increasingly developing strongly; in which the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage are important for the development of the district, becoming an endogenous resource to bring the district firmly into the New Era - the era of the rise of the Vietnamese people.

The Co Loa Spring Festival At Ty 2025 took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere as people across the country celebrated the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Proud to be a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Culture - Sports Week was held at the Co Loa Special National Relic Site with many unique activities imbued with traditional cultural identity such as: folk wrestling, traditional crossbow shooting, human chess, swinging, traditional opera, cheo singing, Dao Thuc water puppetry, dragon boat quan ho singing...
Vice Chairwoman of Dong Anh District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Tam emphasized, "This is also an opportunity to encourage and motivate all classes of people to promote the patriotic emulation movement, actively study, work and produce, promote and introduce the land, people, historical and cultural relics, traditional festivals, and tourism potential of Dong Anh to visitors from all over the world and internationally. With the hope that each visitor coming to Dong Anh in the new Spring will join in building a creative space, developing cultural industry, contributing to making Dong Anh a civilized, cultured and sustainably developed urban area of Hanoi Capital".

According to Chairman of Co Loa Commune People's Committee To Anh Duy, Co Loa festival is a big festival of Dong Anh district and Hanoi city, with a long history and scale, organized in the Co Loa special national relic complex, so it attracts the attention of leaders at all levels and tourists from all over the world. Therefore, the preparation work requires carefulness, completeness, many highlights and innovations in management work to honor the merits of King An Duong Vuong, meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people, and at the same time promote the tangible and intangible values of the Co Loa special national relic.

From the district's perspective, the Co Loa festival must be included in the Project on cultural industry of Hanoi in general and Dong Anh district in particular. At the same time, the process of organizing the festival is also focused on implementing the response to the "3 clean" project of Dong Anh district.
Besides, to continue to preserve and pass on the typical cultural values of the people, land, and people of Loa Thanh commune to the next generation, to further promote the national intangible cultural values of the Co Loa festival.
The traditional festival of Co Loa Temple takes place over 2 days: January 5 and 6, or February 2-3, 2025, with many unique rituals, to commemorate the contributions of King An Duong Vuong and predecessors who have contributed to the people and the country. Co Loa Festival has been included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. |
