Determining that in order to effectively implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", consensus and resources contributed by the people are needed, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Tuan Giao district have stepped up propaganda to raise people's awareness of the significance and great benefits of building new rural areas. Through many diverse forms of propaganda, suitable for each subject and residential area such as: Through conferences, village meetings, activities of associations and unions; through the team of village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people; propaganda on mass media, grassroots loudspeaker systems, through social networking sites... people have gradually understood the benefits as well as their roles and responsibilities in joining hands to build new rural areas. Therefore, people are ready to donate land, participate in contributing human and material resources to build new rural areas in the area. From 2022 to present, people in the district have donated more than 22,000m2 of land, contributed more than 960 million VND and over 2,700 working days to build roads, cultural houses, irrigation works... Typically, in Muong Khong commune, people of Phieng Hin and Hua Sat villages donated 6,000m2 of land to build roads into the village; people of Quai To commune donated 880m2 of land to build intra-field roads, contributed more than 300 working days to build concrete roads, lighting systems with a length of 1,845m, the implementation cost was more than 313 million VND; built a model of an 800m long flower road...
Notably, implementing the 5 specific contents of the campaign, the District Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have proactively coordinated to propose many solutions for implementation. Identifying solidarity in economic development, helping each other to sustainably reduce poverty, and encouraging legitimate enrichment as the key content, the Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized people to promote the application of science and technology in production, transforming the economic structure of crops and livestock to improve productivity; coordinating with mass organizations to help people borrow capital to develop production, building effective economic development models suitable for the locality. Thanks to that, many typical models in good production and business have emerged, earning hundreds of millions of VND each year. At the same time, the district has also done a good job of caring for and assisting poor households, leaving no one behind. Every year, the district organizes activities to support the repair and construction of solidarity houses, give gifts to poor households, and provide humanitarian relief... In the first 8 months of the year, the district has supported the construction of 48 solidarity houses and warm homes for poor households with a total cost of 2.4 billion VND; coordinated the presentation of over 1,000 gifts to the poor and children in difficult circumstances. Currently, the district is focusing on supporting the construction of 605 solidarity houses for poor households in the district under the program of building houses for poor households towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Uniting to build a cultural life, taking care of education, developing human resources, and taking care of people's health, the District Fatherland Front Committee coordinates with relevant departments and offices to promote the movement to build a cultural life in agencies, units, and residential areas; mobilizing people to preserve and promote the nation's fine traditional cultural values, eliminate bad customs, study hard, and build a civilized lifestyle. Joining hands to protect the environment, respond to climate change, and build a bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape, local people have actively participated in protecting the environment by planting trees, regularly cleaning village roads and alleys, collecting garbage, dredging sewers, and building self-management models in residential areas. In order to ensure social order and safety, the Fatherland Front at all levels mobilizes people to strictly comply with the law and participate in denouncing crimes; Promote the role of mediation teams to promptly resolve conflicts and disagreements among the people. Promote democracy, actively participate in supervision and social criticism to contribute to building a clean and strong grassroots political system. The district Fatherland Front at all levels well implements the grassroots democracy regulations, regularly innovates and improves the quality of activities; reflects the people's legitimate opinions and aspirations to the authorities at all levels...
Mr. Giang A Do, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Tuan Giao district affirmed: Focusing on implementing the contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the district has achieved many outstanding results. Up to now, the whole district has 5 communes recognized as basically meeting new rural standards; 9 communes have met 15 criteria or more, 9 communes have met from 10 to 14 criteria, an average of 14.5 criteria/commune. Notably, the rural appearance has changed significantly, the material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved, the poverty rate of the district has decreased to more than 41%. People have gradually changed their awareness of new rural areas, are ready to join hands to implement the goal of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
