From April 9 to 13, the 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition took place.

According to the plan of Hoi An City People's Committee, the 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition is expected to have 32 choirs from 10 countries and territories with nearly 1,000 artists competing in 11 subjects.

The competition opened on the evening of April 9 at Hoi An Theater, broadcast live on the provincial Radio and Television. After the opening ceremony, from April 10-12, at Hoi An Park, the competition took place with many categories such as: Mixed choir, youth choir, youth choir, middle-aged choir, hymn choir, religious choir, folk choir...

Within the framework of the event, there will also be programs: International choir performance on the street with the theme "International Melody"; street art exchange between choirs with people and tourists on the streets; music - culinary exchange.

This event also demonstrates Hoi An's commitment to promoting creativity in many fields when joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
