According to the case, Tran Thi Thu Tran is a teacher at a high school in An Khe town. During her life, Tran borrowed money from the bank and many other people to do food business. However, due to business losses, Tran did not have money to pay back the debt to others as well as the interest on the bank loan.
To have money to pay off debt, from August to November 2023, Tran provided false information that he needed money to pay off bank loans and buy a house to defraud and appropriate property of 4 people in An Khe town with a total amount of 11.6 billion VND.
In addition, during the investigation, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency also received 7 criminal complaints against Tran for fraud and property appropriation. According to the content of the complaints, Tran borrowed more than 9.3 billion VND, 20 taels of 9999 gold and 1 Land Use Rights Certificate but did not repay the debt on time. However, through investigation, it was determined that the borrowing of money and gold between Tran and the parties was a civil relationship, with no signs of crime, so the Provincial Police Investigation Agency instructed the relevant people to contact the competent People's Court for settlement according to regulations.
