Regarding Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's study process at Hanoi University, the school representative said that Mr. Viet studied the English Language program, distance learning system from 1994 - 2001.

"Currently, the school no longer keeps the enrollment records, including Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's high school diploma, because according to regulations, the enrollment records must be kept until the end of the course," said a school representative.

Previously, speaking with VietNamNet , Hanoi University said it had coordinated with the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training to review and report information about Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's academic records.

"After receiving official information from the management agency about Mr. Viet's high school diploma, the school will follow the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training," Hanoi University informed.

Previously, as VietNamNet reported, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City sent a dispatch to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs regarding the verification of the high school diploma of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet (Venerable Thich Chan Quang). The leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's name was not on the list of candidates and the scoreboard of the high school diploma.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on enrollment and training for bachelor, master and doctoral degrees, students who commit fraud in preparing documents to obtain degrees and certificates (using fake degrees in their registration documents) will be forced to leave school.
