On May 18, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee met to listen to reports and give opinions on many important issues of the city, including the results of the implementation of the project to establish districts and wards in Dong Anh district.
Concluding the meeting on behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung said that, in implementing the project to become a district, Dong Anh district has so far achieved 29/31 criteria. The two criteria that have not been met are high schools meeting national standards and the rate of civilized urban streets.
Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung chaired the meeting.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung said that these are two criteria under the authority of the Hanoi People's Committee and can be achieved before June 30, 2023. Therefore, Dong Anh district and related agencies and units need to coordinate closely, urgently and resolutely carry out the steps and tasks according to regulations.
In particular, it is necessary to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to assess the level of urban development as a basis for calculating the rate of civilized urban streets mentioned above...
The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee also agreed in principle with a number of proposals from Dong Anh district.
Regarding the proposal for the project to build a heritage park combining a square and public works at the Co Loa Relic Site, Mr. Dinh Tien Dung agreed to carry out this project and try to deploy it during the 2020-2025 term.
The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee also agreed in principle to allow Dong Anh district to establish an investment project to develop the Thiep River in the area (about 20km long, area of about 3,260ha), but noted that this river must be preserved at all costs.
“Preserving the 20km long river surrounding the future city center, with tourist boats on the wharf and below, is a wonderful thing. This is also the future, long-term livelihood of the people,” said Mr. Dinh Tien Dung, emphasizing the Party Committee’s viewpoint of prioritizing environmental preservation and not putting golf course projects here.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee also agreed in principle to allow Dong Anh district to carry out site clearance (phase 1) of section 2 of the Nhat Tan - Noi Bai axis according to the planning approved by the Prime Minister .
