Legal Consulting Center - Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association summarizes 6 months

On the afternoon of July 20, in Nha Trang City, the Legal Consulting Center - Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha, Director of the Legal Consulting Center - Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association, said that in the first 6 months of 2023, the Center's activities had many positive changes and completed its tasks well.

Currently, the Center has 13 legal consultants and collaborators. Of which, 9 are consultants and 4 are lawyers working at the Center.

In the work of contributing ideas to law making, in the first 6 months of the year, the Center attended 2 workshops organized by the Central Government; participated in 3 workshops to contribute ideas to the revised Land Law.

In the past 6 months, the Center has provided direct consultation on 11 cases for 10 people. The main areas of legal consultation are marriage and family; land; civil, inheritance disputes; administrative proceedings; labor, etc.

Regarding legal dissemination, the Chairman of the Provincial Lawyers Association, as a consultant, organized 3 sessions to disseminate new laws to key officials in the province and to key officials in Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh District. The Center coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Police to disseminate laws to 24 prisoners serving prison sentences.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Center also organized 19 legal dissemination sessions in communes and wards for more than 1,300 people. Of which, Van Ninh district has 3 communes and towns; Ninh Hoa town has 4 communes; Dien Khanh district has 3 communes; Nha Trang city has 5 communes and wards; Cam Lam district has 4 communes and towns.

In addition, the Center's legal consultants also participated in training conferences to disseminate new laws that will take effect in 2023, and training on environmental protection laws...

Mr. Ha said that in the last 6 months of the year, the Center will continue to strengthen and supplement legal consultants and collaborators; disseminate and popularize the law; focus on providing legal advice to communes and towns in Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh districts. At the same time, it will contribute opinions on the Land Law (amended); and participate in professional training courses organized by the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the Provincial Lawyers Association.

At the conference, the Center also announced the Department of Justice's decisions to recognize 3 new consultants; announced the expected assignment of tasks to consultants and collaborators...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Xuan Than, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association, highly appreciated the Center's paid and free legal consultancy activities that have begun to become routine.

In order for legal consultancy to be carried out well, he suggested that consultants must study the law, understand the field of consultancy, advise in accordance with legal regulations... Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association will also continuously support consultants to improve their qualifications.

In addition, consultants need to perform well in consulting when participating in legal propaganda sessions to enhance the reputation and quality of the Center. The assignment of work needs to be done equally among consultants and collaborators enough to meet the work requirements...
