At the question and answer session on the transport sector on the afternoon of June 7, many delegates were interested in opening inspection centers; solutions to perfect the transport infrastructure system, limit traffic accidents nationwide, and reduce traffic congestion in major cities.
State management responsibilities in inspection activities; solutions to remove difficulties and improve the quality of inspection work for road and inland waterway motor vehicles; management of transport activities and vehicle quality; training, testing, granting, revoking and managing licenses to operate road and inland waterway vehicles.
Speaking at the question-and-answer session yesterday (June 7), Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang said that with a spirit of openness and responsibility, the Ministry of Transport always listens to and fully absorbs opinions and is determined to successfully implement the Party and State's policies and strategies in developing transport infrastructure, in order to promptly complete modern and safe strategic transport works so that people and businesses can benefit, effectively contributing to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and enhancing the country's international integration.
In the context of the economy still facing many difficulties and challenges, with the attention and direction of the National Assembly and the Government, the close coordination of ministries and branches, and the support of voters nationwide, the entire transport sector has united, determined, and made efforts to innovate thinking and methods of organization and implementation, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, promote decentralization and delegation of power, and effectively implement the assigned tasks.
However, in addition to the achieved results, the industry still has shortcomings and limitations that need to be resolutely handled such as traffic accidents, violations in the fields of vehicle inspection, training and testing, granting, managing and revoking licenses, etc. The Minister said that the contributions of National Assembly delegates are the motivation for the Ministry to strive to fulfill well the tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Party, State and people.
