The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the People's Committees of districts and cities to effectively implement the direction of the Central Government and the province on implementing solutions to ensure water resources for agricultural production and people's lives; prevent and combat drought in the dry season; proactively arrange funds from local budget reserves to implement solutions to combat drought.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to guide, inspect, and summarize the drought and water shortage situation and report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial People's Committee according to regulations. The Tuyen Quang Hydrometeorological Station shall closely monitor weather developments, strengthen forecasting, warning, and assessment of the hydrometeorological situation, and promptly provide information on weather, climate, and drought and water shortage developments in each region and area.
Press agencies should strengthen information and communication work, raise awareness of all levels, sectors and people about the use of water resources, proactively use electricity and water economically in daily life and production, and proactively respond to heat, drought and water shortages.
