In addition, the Center also organizes many exhibitions and conferences connecting supply and demand between manufacturers and domestic distributors. At the same time, the Center also promotes training support and capacity building for cooperatives and OCOP entities in developing, promoting trade, and advertising products on e-commerce platforms and social networks.

“In 2018, the Vietnamese Government launched the OCOP program. To date, Vietnam has about 15,500 OCOP products, so we want to promote Vietnam's OCOP products to the world as ambassadors of Vietnam's regional culture,” said Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien.

Regarding the rice industry, Mr. Khuat Dong Ngoc stated that Vietnamese rice is increasingly popular in the international market thanks to its stable quality, characteristic aroma and stickiness. According to the FAO Director General, Vietnamese and Chinese rice do not compete directly but are complementary, contributing to affirming the role of rice - a typical cultural feature of Asia, serving diverse consumer needs.

Particularly impressed with the 5-star OCOP products, Mr. Khuat Dong Ngoc suggested that FAO Permanent Deputy Director General Godfrey Magwenzi (Zimbabwean) and FAO Representative in Vietnam Remi Nono Womdim (Cameroonian) organize a delegation of African businesses to visit Vietnam to learn about local product development models. According to the FAO Director General, the organization is ready to sponsor this activity.

While the agricultural processing chain has become more professionalized, the head of the FAO recommends that Vietnamese producers strengthen environmental management, ensuring that they do not cause resource degradation while increasing production. Sustainable production is the factor that convinces consumers around the world.

At the invitation of Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, Mr. Khuat Dong Ngoc - Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) - led a working delegation to visit and work in Vietnam from February 5 to 8.
