Overview of the welcoming ceremony for the King of Cambodia's visit to Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of November 28, at the Presidential Palace (Hanoi), President Luong Cuong presided over the official welcoming ceremony for Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on a state visit to Vietnam.
At the invitation of President Luong Cuong, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni paid a State visit to Vietnam from November 28 to 29. The welcoming ceremony for Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and the high-ranking delegation took place solemnly at the Presidential Palace (Hanoi). President Luong Cuong and King Norodom Sihamoni stood on the podium of honor to participate in the flag-raising ceremony of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Vietnam. President Luong Cuong invited King Norodom Sihamoni to review the honor guard of the Vietnam People's Army. This is the fourth visit to Vietnam by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni. The King is expected to hold talks, meetings and receptions with all high-ranking Vietnamese leaders, thereby contributing to deepening the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship under the motto "Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability". The visit is expected to contribute to enhancing political trust between the two sides and promoting cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education, and other fields. Over the past time, the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia has continued to develop positively. The political relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia has continued to develop well. The high-ranking leaders of the two countries have maintained visits and contacts between ministries, branches and localities of the two countries with practical cooperation mechanisms being implemented more and more effectively, bringing the cooperation in all fields to an increasingly deeper level. To date, Vietnam has 205 valid investment projects in Cambodia with a total registered capital of 2.94 billion USD, ranking first in ASEAN and in the top 5 countries with the largest direct investment in Cambodia, and ranking second among 79 countries and territories in which Vietnam has invested.
Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni laid a wreath and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum. Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni laid a wreath in memory of heroic martyrs on Bac Son Street.
