iPhone-like photography feature coming to Galaxy S25

According to Android Authority , Samsung users can soon experience the ability to take 24 MP photos directly on the default camera app of the Galaxy S25 series, instead of having to 'circumvent the rules' through the Expert RAW app.

Galaxy S25 is about to have iPhone-like photography features

This information was revealed by a Samsung representative on the Korean Community forum. Accordingly, Samsung is considering integrating the 24 MP photo capture feature from the Expert RAW application into the main camera application. This comes from the request of many users on the forum, wishing to have a more convenient 24 MP photo capture mode.

Taking photos at 24 MP resolution is considered the 'trump card' when it balances better detail quality than regular 12 MP photos, while still maintaining a compact file size and fast image processing compared to 50 MP or 200 MP photos.

Notably, this move by Samsung is quite similar to the way Apple equipped the iPhone 15 series with the ability to take 24 MP photos by default. Could it be that Samsung also wants to learn from its competitors to bring a better photography experience to users?

Currently, Expert RAW only allows for 24MP shots on the main camera. However, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra featuring a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, Samsung could potentially extend this feature to both cameras.

The fact that Samsung is considering integrating Expert RAW into the main camera app is a good sign. It shows that the company is listening to user feedback and constantly improving its products.
