This good news was announced by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, during a meeting on the afternoon of June 26 in Beijing (China).
Regarding the domestic situation, the Prime Minister said that growth was being promoted, with each quarter being higher than the previous, ensuring the major balances of the economy. Many foreign investors are worried about power shortages, but the head of the Vietnamese Government affirmed that "Vietnam will never lack electricity". Although electricity consumption in the first months of the year increased by 15%, electricity supply is still guaranteed.

Emphasizing the improvement in people's living standards, the Prime Minister announced the good news of a 30% increase in basic salary from July 1. According to him, this is the highest increase ever because we have saved, increased revenue, and reduced spending to have about 700,000 billion VND to increase salaries in the next 3 years.
"And if there is accumulation in the next 3 years, there will continue to be room for salary increases in the following years," the Prime Minister emphasized.
This is the second time in two consecutive years that the Vietnamese Embassy in China has welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to visit and work.
Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai said that since China opened its doors from the beginning of 2023 until now, exchange activities promoting delegations between the two sides have been very vibrant, cooperation in many fields and between ministries, branches and localities of the two sides has been focused on promoting.
Acknowledging the efforts of the Embassy, the Prime Minister said that with China's current important position and role in the international arena, the mission of the Vietnamese Embassy in China is very honorable and proud, but also comes with a very high responsibility.

The head of the Vietnamese Government emphasized that developing relations with China is an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of international relations.
According to him, from China's successful lessons, Vietnam can learn from its experience in timely policy response, making strong decisions and organizing decisive implementation.
Regarding the results of the WEF Dalian Conference, the Prime Minister said that countries, organizations and businesses around the world have a lot of affection and highly appreciate Vietnam.
International businesses in meetings with the head of the Vietnamese Government were all enthusiastic and excited, expressing their support and desire to invest in Vietnam. The Prime Minister therefore shared his pride that in the context of general difficulties, Vietnam is still doing well.

Besides attending the WEF Dalian Conference, the Prime Minister also had meetings and talks with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Chairman of the National People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the bilateral relationship has achieved good and comprehensive results. Political trust has been strengthened; many new cooperation mechanisms in important fields have been established; strategic connections, especially transport connections, have been accelerated; trade cooperation has grown strongly...
Referring to the future direction, the Vietnamese Government leader noted the need to encourage China to continue opening its market to Vietnamese goods, especially expanding the list of key products in which Vietnam has strengths and the Chinese market has high demand, such as agricultural products and fruits.
In addition, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to promote transport connectivity, including three railway lines connecting with China (Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong; Lang Son - Hanoi; Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong), and cooperate in areas where China has strengths and Vietnam has needs, such as science and technology, artificial intelligence, energy, digital economy, digital transformation, etc.
