Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, inspected the damage caused by floods in Huoi Tong 1 village (Huoi Leng commune, Muong Cha district).

Inspecting the actual situation of flood damage in Huoi Tong 1 village (Huoi Leng commune), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong shared the difficulties and losses of the people, especially the two households that lost their houses completely due to flash floods. At the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactiveness in the work of preventing, combating and responding to natural disasters of the local Party Committee, authorities and people in the area. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested that the Party Committee, authorities and people absolutely not have the subjective idea that Dien Bien is almost out of the rainy season; must always be vigilant and proactive in dealing with flash floods, landslides, and minimize damage caused by floods. Here, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong visited and gave gifts to encourage two households that suffered heavy losses due to floods; on behalf of the leaders of the Party, the National Assembly and the Government, supported Muong Cha district with 200 million VND to overcome the consequences of floods in 2024.

On behalf of the leaders of the Party, National Assembly, and Government, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, presented 200 million VND in support to Muong Cha district to overcome the consequences of floods.

Inspecting the site of the landslide in two villages: Huoi Tong 1 and Huoi Tong 2, comrade Tran Quang Phuong assessed that this is a location with a very high risk of landslides, and requested the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Muong Cha district to resolutely relocate 98 households in Huoi Tong 1 and Huoi Tong 2 villages to temporary safe places. At the same time, promptly implement the resettlement project for households in the two villages of Huoi Tong 1 and Huoi Tong 2. When implementing the project, it is necessary to arrange enough land fund and build resettlement areas in accordance with national customs and traditions.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong briefed the National Assembly delegation on the response and evacuation of people at the landslide site in Huoi Tong 1 and Huoi Tong 2 villages.

Inspecting the actual work of overcoming the damage caused by flash floods in Muong Pon commune (Dien Bien district), comrade Tran Quang Phuong kindly visited and encouraged households affected by flash floods in the villages: Muong Pon 1, Tin Toc and Linh village. He asked households in Muong Pon to make efforts to overcome the current difficulties, continue to strive and improve their lives. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly supported Dien Bien district with 300 million VND to overcome the damage caused by floods. He asked the provincial and district Party committees and authorities to continue implementing solutions to overcome the consequences of flash floods, soon stabilize the lives of people in disaster areas; raise vigilance, proactively develop plans to deal with the effects of floods that may occur in the coming time.
