Provincial Farmers' Association celebrates 50th anniversary

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presented flowers to congratulate the Provincial Farmers' Association on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

The province currently has 1,446 branches with over 86,900 farmer members. After 50 years of construction and development, the association's work and the farmer movement in the province continue to have new developments in both content and methods of operation. The work of building and consolidating the association's organization has been strengthened; the role and responsibility of the staff, members and farmers in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; building the party and building the political system have been promoted. Attention has been paid to caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and farmers. In particular, through patriotic emulation activities and movements, the association has increasingly demonstrated its central and core role in building new rural areas, contributing to agricultural development, improving the material and spiritual life of members and farmers, and ensuring social security.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, presented flowers to congratulate the Provincial Farmers' Union on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong commended, acknowledged and congratulated the results that the provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels have achieved in recent years; at the same time, he affirmed that the 50-year journey of establishment, growth and development of the Provincial Farmers' Association has always been closely linked to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the Party and the political system of the province. In each stage and period of development of the province, the Farmers' Associations at all levels have made practical and important contributions.

The Provincial Party Secretary believes and expects that in the coming time, the organization and activities of the association, and the farmers' movement of the province will have new, stronger and more creative developments to successfully implement the goals and targets set by the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, contributing to promoting the cause of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, building Dien Bien homeland to be politically strong, economically rich, and firmly secured in national defense and security.

Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Farmers' Association.

In recognition of the achievements of the Provincial Farmers' Association at all levels, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Provincial Farmers' Association; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Farmers' Association (November 12, 1974 - November 12, 2024).
