Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Luong Cuong received General Secretary of the Communist Party of India

Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong warmly welcomed the working visit to Vietnam of Comrade Doraisamy Raja and conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam to Comrade Doraisamy Raja; expressed his joy at the special solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, States and Peoples of the two countries continuing to develop well; and congratulated the successes achieved by the Communist Party of India in the recent Indian Parliamentary elections.

Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong informed comrade Doraisamy Raja about the recent situation in Vietnam, about a number of key tasks that the Communist Party of Vietnam is actively implementing, including Party building; fighting corruption and negativity; promoting socio-economic development; affirming important achievements of historical significance after nearly 40 years of renovation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

CPI General Secretary Doraisamy Raja respectfully sent his regards and best wishes to General Secretary and President To Lam, expressing his delight at the excellent traditional relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of India. The General Secretary affirmed that he would always support and stand shoulder to shoulder with the Communist Party of Vietnam; and strongly support the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The General Secretary of the Communist Party of India congratulated and highly appreciated Vietnam's important and great achievements; emphasized that the Communist Party of India always pays attention to and follows the process of building socialism in Vietnam; and believes that the Communist Party of Vietnam will successfully achieve the goals set by the 13th National Congress and successfully organize the 14th National Party Congress.

On this occasion, Comrade Doraisamy Raja informed about the situation in India and the current priorities of the CPI; affirmed that the Communist Party of India is pleased with and supports the strengthening of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and India, and wishes to learn from the experience of the Communist Party of Vietnam, for the benefit of the people and the prosperous development of the two countries.

Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong and General Secretary of the Communist Party of India also discussed measures to further strengthen the traditional friendship and good cooperation between the two parties, including increasing exchanges and sharing of guidelines and policies on party building, socio-economic development policies, summarizing the theory and practice of 40 years of renovation, while creating conditions to expand economic, trade, investment, agricultural cooperation and cooperation between localities of the two countries as well as promoting exchanges between mass organizations such as youth, women, etc. to enhance people's understanding of the solidarity, friendship, cooperation and tradition between the two parties and the two countries of Vietnam and India.
