Warmly welcoming the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress of China to visit and work in Vietnam, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha stated that during the official visit to the People's Republic of China by the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam, the two sides signed a Cooperation Agreement with many new contents and diverse forms of cooperation, including the establishment of an inter-parliamentary cooperation mechanism, demonstrating a closer and more substantial level of cooperation between the two legislative bodies of the two countries. The Party and State of Vietnam attach special importance to maintaining and developing the friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive cooperation with the Party, State and people of China. This is a consistent, long-term policy, a strategic choice, and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy. Leaders of the two sides have maintained exchanges and contacts in many forms, within the bilateral and multilateral frameworks through meetings, contacts and consultations on the sidelines of regional and international parliamentary forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).
