The role of heritage in tourism development is unclear. At the 22nd Session of the 11th Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Council, delegates questioned the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on urgent issues related to the management, preservation and promotion of tangible and intangible culture in the area. Through supervision and questioning, the People's Council of Ninh Thuan province positively assessed the changes in leadership, management and results achieved in preserving and promoting the values of heritages, relics, natural and cultural heritages in the province associated with tourism development, improving living standards and economic development. The cultural heritage system has received attention in research, investment and conservation; traditional art forms have been maintained and developed, and the role of artisans in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage has been promoted. The customs, practices and traditional festivals of ethnic groups in the area have been maintained, promoting heritage values in association with conservation and economic development, especially tourism, making tourism a spearhead economic sector. Along with that, review and supplement regulations on heritage management, form and strictly control protected areas according to heritage law. Invest in infrastructure to serve the conservation and promotion of heritage values, especially transport infrastructure, information, landscapes that are convenient and attractive to tourists. Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Council emphasizes the organization of heritage research activities; encourage creative activities, training to maintain and pass on the profession, honor artisans to preserve traditional values; promote the development and improvement of the quality of handicrafts based on the traditional and cultural values of the heritage and the locality. Seek cooperation programs with international organizations in heritage conservation; increase participation in research on global conservation projects to learn from experiences. At the same time, build applications or websites to introduce heritage; use technology to record and preserve heritage information, promote online heritage visits to stimulate visitors' needs for sightseeing and experience.
