Promote the movement of farmers competing in good production and business

After 6 years of establishment, the Farmers' Club of Hoa Tho Tay Ward (Cam Le District) has been effective in uniting members to develop production, business and help poor households. According to Mr. Ngo Van Dung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the Ward, the motto of the Club is to unite, help each other develop production, business, create jobs, increase income for workers and carry out social security work well. The Club's Executive Board coordinates with units to organize training courses on science and technology transfer; visit and study outstanding economic models... Through activities, the Club connects members to share experiences, support each other to develop production, contributing to improving the quality and competitiveness of products. Currently, the members of the Club provide regular jobs for more than 30 workers; create seasonal jobs for 55 workers. Every year, the Club gives dozens of gifts to disadvantaged people in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lieu is one of the members of the Hoa Tho Tay Ward Good Farmer and Business Club with a model of raising chickens for eggs. Every day, he supplies nearly 100kg of eggs to the market, earning more than 90 million VND/month, creating jobs for 3 workers. Currently, he is the only representative of the locality to achieve the title of "Good Farmer and Business" at the central level. Mr. Tran Viet Mung (Hoa Tho Tay Ward) is one of 8 people in the ward to achieve the title of "Good Farmer and Business" at the city level. He runs a wedding service business, creating jobs for more than 10 workers; annually giving 60 gifts to disadvantaged people in the area.

Mr. Le Minh Trung's family (Hoa Tho Dong ward, Cam Le district) used to be poor. Thanks to his efforts in selling onions and garlic at Hoa Cam market, the family's economy has become increasingly prosperous. In 2019, he received a loan of 50 million VND from the District Farmers' Association to expand production scale. Effective business activities bring the family an income of 20-35 million VND/month; creating jobs for 10 people with an income of about 250,000 VND/day.

For many years, Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh (Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district) has been awarded the title of "Excellent farmer in production and business" at the district level. In addition to selling construction materials, Mr. Trinh has also developed a model of "Agricultural production combined with eco-tourism experience" in the locality. He and four friends dig ponds, raise snails, grow water lilies, ornamental plants, raise chickens and fish to create a green landscape. The above model operates effectively, attracting a large number of visitors on weekends, with a monthly income of 18-20 million VND. According to the Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hoa Tien commune, Dang Van Quang, through the movement "Excellent farmers in production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", many households have developed into enterprises, cooperatives, and private companies in agricultural production and business; creating jobs and stable income for hundreds of workers in the area. Up to now, the commune has 365 households recognized as "Good farmers and businessmen" at all levels, including 10 city-level households and 152 district-level households.

In 2024, the association at all levels will propagate, mobilize, and guide 14,529 farming households to register to strive to achieve the title of "Excellent Farmer and Businessman" at all levels. Through evaluation, 6,888 households achieved the above title from the central to local levels. Chairman of the City Farmers' Association Nguyen Huu Thiet said that in the coming time, the association will continue to innovate propaganda work, mobilizing members to improve the effectiveness of the movement of farmers competing in good production and business. In particular, promoting and replicating the models of "Excellent Farmer and Businessman Club", "Farmer Club with the Law", "Creative Farmer" to attract members to compete in developing production and business; strengthening vocational training and development for farmers and rural workers. The association promotes consulting activities, supports market connection, consumption of agricultural products and goods, legal aid, and creates conditions for farmers to participate in national target programs on new rural construction. Promote agricultural production, improve the lives and incomes of members, contribute to the development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas in the city.
