On the afternoon of November 15, at the Government Office, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Hungarian Minister of Justice Bence Tuzon, who is visiting and working in Vietnam. The Prime Minister proposed that Hungary cooperate and support Vietnam in building and perfecting institutions; digital transformation, and training human resources in building and perfecting institutions and judicial activities.

Welcoming Minister Bence Tuzon and the delegation of the Hungarian Ministry of Justice to visit and work in Vietnam; congratulating Hungary on the achievements in socio-economic development in recent years, the increasing role and prestige of Hungary in the region and the world, the Prime Minister said that Vietnam and Hungary have a traditional friendship and good multi-faceted cooperation with a history of more than 70 years. Although geographically distant, the two countries have many similarities, are proud of their cultural traditions, and share common values. Vietnam is always grateful, affectionate, and loyal to Hungary.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Hungary for supporting Vietnam with vaccines in the recent fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to Vietnam's effective prevention and control of the pandemic. Thanks to that, Vietnam's socio-economic recovery and development have been quite comprehensive in all fields.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of Hungary were pleased to see that the relationship between the two countries has been developing positively in all areas, including the judicial sector. Especially since the two sides upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership, during the visit to Hungary by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in 2018, demonstrating the importance of Hungary as Vietnam's leading important partner in the Central and Eastern European region.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Vietnamese Government is making efforts to continue building and perfecting the Vietnamese socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, for the people, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam; upholding the Constitution and the law; respecting and protecting human rights and citizens' rights; state power being unified, clearly assigned, closely coordinated, and effectively controlled; a professional, rule-of-law, and modern administration and judiciary; a streamlined, clean, and effective state apparatus. In its development process, Vietnam is interested in, proactively, and actively cooperating internationally, sharing with other countries for mutual development.
The Head of the Vietnamese Government hopes that the two sides will continue to deepen, make the Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership more practical and effective; propose that Hungary, specifically the Hungarian Ministry of Justice, cooperate and support Vietnam in building and perfecting institutions; applying science and technology, digital transformation, applying artificial intelligence, training human resources in law-making and judicial activities; propose that the two sides continue to maintain good cooperative relations and support each other at international organizations and multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations.

Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive the delegation and admiring Vietnam's remarkable development in recent times, Hungarian Minister of Justice Bence Tuzon said that he and Vietnamese Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long had just had a very successful meeting, agreeing on the direction and solutions to promote cooperation between the two ministries. At the same time, the two sides signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in the field of training officials, including granting 200 judicial training scholarships to Vietnam.
Appreciating the results of the talks between the two Ministers of Justice, as well as the effective implementation of the Cooperation Programs to implement the Cooperation Agreement in the field of law and justice in recent times, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Party and State of Vietnam always create conditions for ministries and branches, including the Ministry of Justice, to strengthen bilateral relations with the Hungarian Ministry of Justice to enhance cooperation in the field of law and justice.
The Prime Minister hopes that the cooperation between the two countries' Ministries of Justice will increasingly deepen, become more substantive and effective, meet the expectations of the two governments, and become a model in the relationship between the two countries' ministries and sectors.

On this occasion, Hungarian Minister of Justice Bence Tuzon conveyed the Hungarian Prime Minister's invitation to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to pay an official visit to Hungary. The Prime Minister happily accepted the invitation to visit Hungary and instructed the relevant agencies to make arrangements through diplomatic channels at a mutually convenient time. Through Minister Bence Tuzon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his regards and invitation to the Hungarian Prime Minister to pay an official visit to Vietnam.
