Regarding the karaoke bar fire in Cau Dien on the evening of December 18, 2024, E Hospital received 4 victims, including 2 seriously injured cases.
At 11:24 p.m. on December 18, 2024, E Hospital received a call from the 115 Emergency Center reporting a fire at a karaoke bar located at Pham Van Dong, Co Nhue 2, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi.

Immediately, the hospital mobilized the emergency team and ambulance to the scene. To promptly respond to the emergency situation, Hospital E issued a red alert, mobilizing all medical staff on duty at the hospital to be ready to rescue the victim.
In the Emergency Department, the hospital has prepared beds, intensive care units and operating rooms to receive patients. Logistics departments are also checked to ensure medical equipment, oxygen and other resources are available for treatment.
At the scene, the medical staff of E Hospital closely coordinated with the fire prevention and fighting, rescue forces of Hanoi City Police and functional units to take the victims to the nearest medical facilities.
A total of four victims, including two males and two females, were taken to E Hospital in a state of panic, with many abrasions and minor burns on the skin. The two female victims with serious injuries were transferred to the Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department for treatment.
Immediately after receiving the patient, E Hospital reported the patient's condition to the Ministry of Health and the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management. Experts in the field of emergency resuscitation from leading hospitals participated in the consultation to come up with the best treatment plan for the victims.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Dr. Ha Anh Duc visited the victims and worked with the Board of Directors of E Hospital, doctors and experts from Bach Mai Hospital and Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital to come up with optimal treatment.
Minister Dao Hong Lan kindly visited each victim at Hospital E and sympathized with the victims’ families. She affirmed that Hospital E had done a good job in providing emergency care, transporting and initial resuscitation for the patients.
Minister Dao Hong Lan also directed the hospital to continue mobilizing human resources, medical equipment, and organizing consultations with experts to ensure the most effective treatment for the victims.
On the morning of December 19, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long visited the fire victims being treated at E Hospital. Also attending were Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, leaders of departments and Bac Tu Liem district.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long shared that this was a heartbreaking accident and encouraged the patients to stay optimistic and follow the doctors' treatment regimen. He also expressed hope that the victims would recover soon.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and leaders of Bac Tu Liem district visited the victims and highly appreciated the treatment and support work of E Hospital as well as the authorities.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai directed authorities at all levels to continue monitoring and providing spiritual and material support to the victims and their families, helping them overcome difficulties.
Due to the complexity of the injuries and the risk of worsening, experts at E Hospital decided to transfer the victims to the Intensive Care Center and the Poison Control Center of Bach Mai Hospital for further monitoring and treatment. This decision is to ensure maximum concentration of expertise and medical facilities, helping the patients have the best chance of recovery.
E Hospital and relevant authorities will continue to closely monitor the health of the victims and make every effort to support them during their treatment.
