Pepper prices today, February 7, 2025, in the domestic market increased sharply in key localities, trading from 150,500 - 153,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, pepper price today in Gia Lai is at 151,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices today in the provinces of Dong Nai (150,500 VND/kg); Dak Lak (153,000 VND/kg); Dak Nong (153,000 VND/kg); Ba Ria - Vung Tau (152,000 VND/kg) and Binh Phuoc (152,000 VND/kg).

Thus, pepper prices today increased sharply in key growing areas, increasing by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg. The highest pepper price is at 153,000 VND/kg.

Due to the Lunar New Year holiday, pepper import and export activities decreased in January 2025.

Preliminary statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) show that in January 2025, Vietnam exported 13,085 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 10,502 tons and white pepper reached 2,583 tons. Total export turnover reached 87.7 million USD, compared to December 2024, the export volume decreased by 14.3% and compared to the same period in 2024, the export decreased by 26.4%.

The average export price of black pepper in the month reached 6,626 USD/ton, white pepper reached 8,467 USD/ton, up 2.3% for black pepper and 3.3% for white pepper compared to the previous month.

Top exporters in January included: Olam Vietnam: 1,428 tonnes, Nedspice Vietnam: 1,281 tonnes, Simexco Dak Lak: 883 tonnes, Phuc Sinh: 844 tonnes and DK Commodity: 670 tonnes.

Meanwhile, the US remains Vietnam's largest pepper export market, reaching 2,884 tons, down 36.0% compared to the previous month. Notably, exports to Germany, Europe's largest economy, increased by 122.0% to 910 tons.

At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 7,283 USD/ton; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 6,400 USD/ton, up 100 USD/ton (1.56%); the price of Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA at 9,000 USD/ton.

Muntok white pepper price is 9,780 USD/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is at 11,600 USD/ton.

Vietnam black pepper price is traded at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,650 USD/ton; white pepper price at 9,550 USD/ton. IPC increases Brazilian pepper price.
