After more than 5 years of implementing the Project to build Tien Ky town to meet civilized urban standards, the town has now achieved 9/9 criteria with 52 components based on Decision No. 04 dated February 18, 2022 of the Prime Minister on promulgating regulations on criteria, order and procedures for considering recognition of meeting civilized urban standards.
Tien Ky town - the administrative, economic, cultural and social center of Tien Phuoc district is located about 25km west of Quang Nam provincial center along National Highway 40B. Tien Ky has a total natural area of over 828 hectares with 2,038 households and over 8,500 people. The economic structure gradually increases in proportion to industry, small-scale industry - trade and services.
The rate of solidly built houses in the inner city area is 99.7%. All inner city roads are asphalted and concreted. All households have access to electricity. The trained workforce accounts for more than 79%, of which trained workers with certificates account for more than 40%. The town meets the national criteria for commune-level health care by 2030.
The rate of people participating in health insurance reached over 98.7%. Preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools all met national standards level 2. Average income per capita in 2023 reached 49.2 million VND, higher than the average income of the whole province (45.8 million VND). The rate of multidimensional poor households decreased to 2.8%, lower than the general local regulation (3%); near-poor households decreased to 2.1%.
In 2023, the town will have more than 94% of households achieving the title of cultural family, 7/8 blocks will be recognized as cultural blocks...
With the above results, on August 16, 2024, the Chairman of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee signed Decision No. 4425 recognizing Tien Ky town as meeting civilized urban standards in 2024.
At the announcement ceremony, Tien Phuoc district leaders awarded the Certificate of recognition of meeting civilized urban standards to officials and people of Tien Ky town.
