More than 50 farms are granted VietGAP certification

Safe livestock farming is being promoted in Thai Nguyen.

Of the above farms, 183 farms and livestock facilities have been certified for safe production according to VietGAP standards (an increase of more than 50 farms and livestock facilities compared to the end of 2024). In addition, there are 42 livestock facilities in the province certified as disease-free.

Promoting safe livestock farming has helped the province's livestock herd develop stably, with its economic value increasing. To date, the province has 95,000 buffaloes and cows; 620,000 pigs and 17.5 million poultry. The province's livestock production value in 2024 will reach more than VND 7,710 billion, exceeding the plan by 7.7% and accounting for 47% of the province's agricultural production value.

Total output of live weight meat in 2024 will reach over 236 thousand tons, of which pork is over 107 thousand tons; poultry meat is nearly 116.5 thousand tons; buffalo meat is 5,800 tons; beef is 7,000 tons.
