Previously, two Vietnamese football players had gone to Europe to play football and were not successful: Quang Hai in Pau FC (France) and Van Hau in Heerenveen FC (Netherlands). Having experience playing football in Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan, Thanh Thuy made a bold decision to go to Europe to play for Kuzeyboru FC, where she anticipated difficulties.

"Competing in the Turkish and European tournaments with the participation of many world volleyball stars will be very stressful. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to compete and experience at a high level of expertise, but I will try my best because this is a rare opportunity in my career. I hope to perform well, spread Vietnamese volleyball to international friends and help other Vietnamese athletes confidently compete abroad," Thanh Thuy shared when deciding to "go to the big sea".
After more than 2 months in Türkiye, Thanh Thuy felt the harshness of professional sports when she was only able to play a few minutes in the national championship. Most recently at the European Volleyball Cup, this 1.93 m tall hitter was given the opportunity to play a full game when her team met a weaker opponent. However, that was not enough because, as admitted by the leader of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club (Thanh Thuy's management unit), the head coach of Kuzeyboru Club was not satisfied with Thuy's current performance. Therefore, it is likely that she will soon say goodbye to the European team even though the contract lasts for 10 months, which is the end of the season. The injury before joining Kuzeyboru Club has prevented Thuy from returning to her best form. With the fiercely competitive environment in Europe, it will be difficult for her to stay if she cannot demonstrate her ability. Before Thuy decided to go to Europe, many people advised her to go to Korea or another country in Asia, which would be more suitable and easier to "perform". This is also a lesson for other Vietnamese volleyball talents such as Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, who is attracting the attention of many foreign clubs.
In the second phase and the final round of the national volleyball championship taking place in Lao Cai, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club had to solve a difficult problem in terms of personnel when they "sacrificed" Thanh Thuy to go abroad. In addition to recruiting foreign players, this team also had to invite veteran hitter Ngoc Hoa to return to compete despite having been in coaching for a long time. The national volleyball championship also witnessed the poor performance of Vietnamese players such as Lam Oanh, Kieu Trinh (Information Corps team)... making it difficult for this team to compete for the championship.
