The purpose of the festival is to promote and preserve the art of kite making, while attracting tourists, creating a playground and an opportunity for those who love the art of flying. The kite not only expresses the desire for a good life but also brings the opportunity for exchange between artisans and fans of this elegant sport associated with childhood.

Mr. Le Van Quy, from the Sky Kite Club in Ho Chi Minh City, said that, in addition to being a decorative item and an elegant hobby for all ages, in the minds of Vietnamese people, kite flying contains spiritual meaning, the desire to rise up to a leisurely, prosperous and happy life, so visitors will be able to enjoy colorful performances in the sky, including countless works created by veteran artisans. "Coming to this art kite flying festival, we bring dragon, phoenix, peacock, butterfly, swallow, rooster, fish kites, ... with wingspans from 1.5 - 3m, promising to bring people and visitors eye-catching performances," Mr. Quy expressed.

An Khe lagoon is 3.5km long, 1km wide with 347ha of water surface, in Pho Khanh commune, bordering Pho Thanh ward, Duc Pho town. This is not only the place where the first relic was discovered but also the cradle of Sa Huynh culture, because it contains the most important characteristics of this culture.
