The conference was held in a combination of live and online formats to more than 50 domestic and international locations; and was also broadcast on social networking platforms so that the overseas Vietnamese community could follow along.

At the Conference, representatives of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Ministry of Construction introduced new points in the content of the Land Law (amended), the Housing Law (amended), and the Real Estate Business Law (amended), which are directly related to the overseas Vietnamese community. Accordingly, with these new regulations, the rights of overseas Vietnamese (including people with Vietnamese nationality and people of Vietnamese origin) have been specifically, clearly and more broadly regulated.

Speaking at the connecting points, overseas Vietnamese people highly appreciated the timely presiding of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, coordinating with agencies to draft and review the laws and disseminate the new contents. These laws have received, recorded and reflected many aspirations and contributions of overseas Vietnamese during the law-making process into the contents of the laws.

Many overseas Vietnamese affirmed that with the new provisions in these laws, the rights of overseas Vietnamese in the fields of land, housing and real estate business have been expanded, demonstrating the concern of the Party, State and National Assembly for overseas Vietnamese. Overseas Vietnamese also hope that the guiding documents will continue to specify these contents in detail to create conditions for overseas Vietnamese to invest more strongly in the housing and real estate sectors in the country.
