Sharing about solutions to improve the quality of rural environment in the area, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Trinh Minh Khoi said: In the coming time, the province will strengthen the implementation of waste management and control activities from rural areas, including the management of domestic solid waste, used pesticide packaging, residual chemicals in the soil; as well as good control of waste from industrial parks, clusters, and craft villages.

In addition, focus on planning and calling for investment in building the provincial Waste Treatment Complex. Support and handle environmental pollution, close unsanitary landfills. Replicating the model of waste classification at source, effectively treating domestic waste. Calling for investment in urban and residential wastewater collection and treatment systems in the area. Ensuring that industrial, urban and commercial zones and clusters must complete centralized wastewater treatment systems before officially operating or receiving new investment projects.

At the same time, strengthen the coordination of relevant departments, sectors and localities in rural environmental protection. In particular, promote the development of high-tech agriculture to contribute to the economical use of resources and agricultural materials, reduce environmental pollution, and adapt to climate change. Strengthen biodiversity conservation, plant and maintain forest cover, and develop sustainable forests.

“The province effectively promotes propaganda work, guides people to cultivate and raise animals in accordance with planning, and treat waste in production, animal husbandry, cultivation and aquaculture to meet environmental protection requirements. At the same time, it continues to promote and improve the implementation of national target programs on new rural construction in the 2021-2025 period, associated with criteria on rural environmental protection in the province.”
