On December 15, according to the Maritime Port Authority of Kien Giang province, all high-speed ships and ferries traveling on the Rach Gia - Phu Quoc, Rach Gia - Nam Du, Ha Tien - Phu Quoc routes and vice versa had to temporarily suspend operations due to bad weather.
High-speed boats running on inland waterways near the shore from Rach Gia to Kien Hai, Lai Son; Ha Tien to Tien Hai; Kien Luong to Hon Nghe and vice versa are still operating normally.
Ships to Phu Quoc and Nam Du must temporarily stop operating.
Shipping and ferry companies have promptly notified agents and customers who have booked tickets. At the same time, procedures for changing, transferring or returning tickets have been carried out to ensure passenger safety.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, on the morning of December 15, in the sea areas of Kien Giang, Phu Quoc, Ca Mau and the Gulf of Thailand, the sky was cloudy, with showers, heavy rain, thunderstorms in many places combined with strong northeast winds of level 5, level 6, gusting to level 7, 8, waves 1.5-2m high, rough seas.
