Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a delegation to Doha, Qatar, to continue discussions on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Prime Minister's office said on February 8. The Ecuadorian President's Office confirmed that the country has temporarily closed its land borders with Colombia and Peru starting from February 8 to ensure security ahead of the February 9 general election.
