On the morning of January 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Student Association honored individuals and groups of 5 Good Students at the city level for the 2022-2023 school year at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh on Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1).

This year, from 468 nominations from 42 universities, academies and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City, 307 individuals and 5 groups were awarded the title of "5 Good Students" of Ho Chi Minh City. Among them, 31 students have achieved the title for many consecutive years and received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Likewise, 62 students and 5 groups of Ho Chi Minh City have achieved this title at the central level.

Representing the 5 Good Students reporting to Uncle Ho, Nguyen Khanh Tung (Ho Chi Minh City University of Education) said that generations of students in Ho Chi Minh City always remember and deeply engrave Uncle Ho's feelings, beliefs and expectations for students. After 10 years of implementation, the 5 Good Students movement has called for and urged positive actions from members and students, aiming for a comprehensive student model. In the 2022-2023 school year, 321,000 students in Ho Chi Minh City registered to participate in this movement. The number of 5 Good Students at all levels has also increased. Of which, more than 53,000 students achieved the title at the branch level, 13,600 students achieved the inter-branch level and 4,200 students achieved the school level and the Ho Chi Minh City National University level. The voting council of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association agreed to award the city-level title to 307 students and 5 groups of 5 Good Students.
