Singer Bich Hong has just released the MV "Nguoi con cua dong song" on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023.
Sharing at the press conference on October 6 in Hanoi, Bich Hong said that this is a very passionate and meaningful work for her. The whole crew worked hard for nearly three years to make the MV after many delays due to storms and Covid-19.
The female singer said that to play the role of the girl in the MV, the most difficult thing for her was to learn some of the opera's movements so that they were precise and sharp. She was also worried that she was older than the male lead, so the crew had to make him look... older than usual.
In response to the opinion that listening to Nguoi con cua dong song , one can vaguely see the shadow of People's Artist Thu Hien. Bich Hong said that she was a student of People's Artist Thu Hien when she competed in Sao mai 2011.
The female singer admitted that she was influenced by People's Artist Thu Hien since she met and then studied with the veteran singer. Bich Hong likes People's Artist Thu Hien's very simple singing style, beautiful pronunciation, and emotion.
Also because of the teacher-student relationship, People's Artist Thu Hien flew to Hanoi to share the joy with her students. People's Artist Thu Hien emotionally confided that she felt like she had just returned to her own childhood with unforgettable memories.
She also spent time working and growing up in the art of Tuong, so she feels there are many similarities with the main female character in the MV.
People's Artist Quoc Hung also shared at the press conference: "My house is also on the riverside. Every time a Tuong or Cheo troupe comes to the village, the whole village comes out very early. If they don't bring mats, they arrange bricks and cook rice early to get a place. The emotional writing, combined with a very emotional voice, has created a wonderful song."
The River's Child is a new composition by musician Xuan Tri, the MV is directed by Tran Xuan Trung. The story tells about a beautiful childhood friendship between a girl from a family that sings opera along the Red River and a boy in the village.
One time, before the troupe left, the boy ran to give her a ceramic opera mask that he had made himself. That mask was like a token, carrying with it the lingering memories of a pure childhood love.
20 years later, the familiar boat from that day loomed in the distance. The boy from that day was now a grown man. The girl had transformed into a character on stage. The stage was now empty of audience, only the boy remained, still following every gesture and gaze of the girl on stage...
From the story, images, every detail in the MV creates emotions like a short film. The music is like a girl's confession when telling about life, about the passionate emotions of her first life.
Singer Bich Hong became known to the audience after winning the third prize in folk style and the most favorite singer award in the Sao Mai rendezvous contest 2011. After the contest, she became a lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Some of Bich Hong's songs are loved by many audiences such as: Season of swallows flying, Quang Binh my hometown, Old wharf, River and you, Sound of time, To my soulmate...
